MIXED THEFT CHARGE
CARTER DISCHARGED AND RE ARRESTED. Per Press Association. THAMES, October 18. Tho court was occupied yesteiday with a charge against a man. W. B. Elt, who with a lad named Saunders was <-ono«rned in taking a commercial tiaveller’s bag from the Paeroa station. Saundeis made a statement to the police admitting taking the hag, and assuming the responsibility for moving the papers that were in it, stating that Elt was not concerned, whereupon the Bench dismissed the information against Elt. Last night the police roar rented Elt, who will be again charged to-morrow. It is stated Saunders denies the accuracy of his statement, and accuses Elt of theft.
