SLY-GROG SELLER
HEAVY FINE IMPOSED. Per Press Association. TE KUITI, October 18. At the Magistrate's Court, John Ccwper, an elderly one-armed -arncr, was fined £-50 on a charge of sly grogsoiling. The evidence disclosed that accused had received 140 bottle.- of whisky' in 2o days. This whisky was ordered bv telegrams beaiing fictitious signatures'. John Oowper, junior, was fined £2O for attaching fictitious names to the orders, and Cowper, senior, was also fined £-5 oil a similar charge.
