FORESHORE ROAD
NO FURTHER THIS YEAR. The final work to be done at Breaker Bnv before the road is completed comprises 65 chains—about twice as much as the distance already laid down. This is round tlie point and across Defence Department’s territory, and the CityCouncil is still in negotiation with the department as to the terms upon which the -work will bs undertaken. In any case it will not be done for some time to come. There is also a certain distance to be prepared on the Lya.ll Bay side of the point, leading up to Crawford's road. For this a sum will be placed upon the estimates next year. This year the work has gone as far as it is intended to take it.
