OVERSEAS RELIEF FUND
EDUCATING 1000 CHILDREN. DONATIONS TOTAL £500,000. Australian, and N.Z. Cable Association. I/ONDON, October 15. The secretary of the Navy League Overseas Relief Fund has written to the dominion Prime Ministers pointing out that the fund, established after the Battle of Jutland, through the spontaneous generosity of Britishers overseas, has aggregated £500,000. In addition to relief work among the naval men and men of the merchant marine during the war, the fund is assisting in the education of over 1000 of their children.
