APACHE QUEEN’S FATAL FIGHT
Rival apache "queens" engaged in a terrible knife duel at Nancy. lonise Morhain claimed the right to the title of “Queen of the Apaches" and to be tho only woman in the band to wear a scarlet bodice. Meeting Marie Stephan in the street wearing a scarlet bodice, Louise regarded it as a challenge to her rival with a knife. Sbephan was also armed, anal a frantic duel ensued with the gnng standing round keeping the ring and the leader as master of the ceremonies. Stephan was first wounded in the right shoulder, but she returned to the attack and got heme a blow in the stomach of the Apachp "queen." who fell to the ground. Hope is abandoned of her recovery.
