NEURASTHENIA

The disorder which causes its victims to worry, whether they have anything to worry about or not, is neurasthenia. Neurasthenia is entirely distinct from hysteria, although the patient may have both diseases at the same time. Neurasthenia often results from some nervous shock, such as the loss of a near relative, business reverses or some severe over-strain on the nervous system. The patient is usually pale, showing that the blood is thin, and the first thing to do Is to build up the blood, because anything that builds up the general health helps to correct the neurasthenic condition. Rest and a pood tonic is the verybest of treatment in most cases.
