An Aucklander now residing in Fiji, writing by the mail which arrived on the Nnvun at Auckland, states that he had just come hack from Mokogai, the leper island. He saw the Sa.mor.ns the New Zealand Government sent there. They looked well and seemed happy. One of sisters told the visitor that when they arrived they were the worstlooking eases she had soen in her many yeans’ experience. However, thev are clean now, and though the oases aro too far gone for a cure, they are more or less content. It is a beautiful place thev live in, and they have their own little village, presided over by their head men.
