HAURAKI MINE
GOVERNMENT’S OFFER DECLINED. rax PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, August 22. The offer of the Government to lend £IOOO for further development of tha Hauxaki mines property at Coromandel has been declined by the directors, the amount boing considered insufficient. A total of £25,000 has been expended in tho company’s operations to date, and all tho available capital has been called up. Tho directors therefore decided to close the mine.
