“A FOUL CRIME”
MURDER OF SIR HENRY WILSON. CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION. The City Council last evening carried tho following resolution in connection with the assassination .of Sir Henry Wilson in London:— “That the Wellington City Council expresses its doepest horror at the foul crime which resulted in the death of the late Field-Marshal Sir Henry Wilson, formerly Chief of the Military Staff of Great Britain, and offers its profound sympathy with Lady Wilso-n and family in the great lobs which they and the Empire have sustained by tho untimely and cruel death, and the hope that his life, thus sacrificed in tho interest of his country in doing his duty fearlessly, may not be in vain.” The Prime Minister is to he asked bo forward the resolution to Lady Wilson.
