LOWER PRICES REPORTED. Latest cabled reports as to the London wool market are to the effect that the sales closed firm, but as compared with last sales prices generally are lower by about 6 per cent, for medium greasy merino, and medium scoured merino, 5 to 7) per cent, lower for crossbred slipes, 10 to 15 per cent, lower for medium and coarse greasy crossbred, and 10 per cent, lower for fine greasy crossbred and scoured crossbred. The average price for good merino was 22d per lb, medium merino 18jd, superior merino 15d, fine crossbred 16jd> medium crossbred Bld, coarse crossbred 6}d.
