“A SATISFACTORY YEAR”
ISLAND BAY SURFEIRS AND LIFESAVERS. ANNUAL MEETING OF CLUB. The Island: Bay Life-saving and Suri Club held their annual meeting in St. Hilda’s Hall, Island Bay, last evening. There were about thirty members present, and Mr S. C. Mayall was elected chairman. The annual report, which has already been published in the “Times,” was adopted. The financial statement showed a satisfactory state of affairs, the principal items being;—Credit: Sale of costumes, £25; annual subscriptions, £2B. Debit: costumes, £25; club equipment, «£l3 17s 2d: trophies and engraving, JEIO. The chairman, Mr Mayall, briefly referred to the excellent position revealed by the financial statement. He commented upon the thoroughly successful season which had ilieeu enjoyed, and hoped and felt confident that the ensuing year would he just as successful. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted.

Spriggins; hon. treasurer, Mr P. H, Williams; hon. auditors, Messrs G. W. T. Beckett and J. Bruce; vice-captain, Mr R. Beveridge: committee, Misses L. Skinner, If. Skinner and. Messrs J. Conder, L. Allen, A, Dicker; delegates to Wellington Centre. Messrs Geo. J. Spriggins. A. T. Russell; delegates to Royal T.ifo-Faving Society, Messrs R. Beveridge and A. Dicker.
