THEFT OF A CHEQUE
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. NEW PLYMOUTH, May 30. In the Supreme Court, George William Clarke, a jockey, who was found guilty last week of false pretences and stealing a cheque, was sentenced this morning to six months’ imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to bo concurrent.
