GENERAL ELECTION
THE PATEA SEAT. It is understood that Mr J. R. Corrigan, of Hawera, has definitely decided to accept nomination for the Patea electorate in the Liberal interests. RICCARTON "SEAT. Air W. R. Devereux, a Christchurch land agent, states that he intends to contest the Riocarton seat in Parliament as a Reform candidate unless someone else is favoured by the Reform Party. In such an event he will oontest the East Christchurch seat. Mr Devereux 'explains that he does not like to desert the Riccarton people who worked so hard for him at the last elections, hut his residential interests are in the East Christohurch electorate.
