SENSATIONAL TRIUMPH
“THE AIAID OF THE AIOUNTAINS.” (By Telegraph.—Special to “Times.”) AUCKLAND, Alay 30. The theatrical presentation, “The Alaid of the Alountains,” to-night, achieved the greatest and most sensational triumph ever won by a musical attraction in Auckland. As the play proceeded, so the enthusiasm increased, and at the end the whole audience stood up and cheered Miss Gladys Moncrieff and the other artists again and again. The occasion will be remembered as the most notable in Auckland’s theatrical history. The booking for “The Maid of the Mountains” has easily broken all known records, including those established by “Chu Chin Chow.” Already over 10,000 seats have been booked. Long queues are formed each morning, and continue right up to the close of the box office each evening.
