HUIA CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING Tho annual meeting of the above dub took place in the Y .M.C.A. rooms on Saturday evening. Mr L. Butcher presided over a good attendance of members and supporters. Some twenty-four ladies were present for the purpose of forming young ladies’ teams, to be run under the auspices of the cluib during the forthcoming eeason. ANNUAL REPORT. The report, which was adopted, stated that three teams wore the Huia colours last season in the various grades—senior, junior and third. Although no championships were annexed, the performances of each team were regarded as very satisfactory. The junior and third teams were runners-up in their respective competitions. The congratulations of the club were tendered to Messrs Guy, Wilson, Diaper, Smith, Goddard and Aburn on their gaining representative honours in the junior grade. The position of * the club secretary was rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr O. Hailwood on July 13th last on the occasion of his transfer to Hamilton. Mr A. Tarr was elected to the vacant position. The bnlancedhertt, Which showed a satisfactory credit balance, was passed. VISIT OF CANADIAN TEAM. The following motion wa9 moved by Mr Guy, seconded by Mr Carter, and carried unanimously : —"That the Huia delegates to the Wellington Hockey Association be instructed to bring forward the following remit : ‘That it be a recommendation to the W.H.A. for that body to communicate with the* N.Z.H. A. urging the desirability, if possible, of arranging a tour of Australasia by Canadian hockey teams representing both sexes during the 1923 season, as such a tour would, in the opinion of many, be of creat benefit, financially and otherwise, to tho game of hockey in New Zealand.'"
