MOTOR-CAR ABLAZE

FIRE BRIGADE SUMMONED. At 2.45 .p.m. yesterday the Fire Brigade received a call to the top of Hay street, Oriental Bay, where a motor-car owned by E. Barnes, taxi-proprietor, was ablaze. The car was severely damaged before the flames could be extinguished. The car was standing in tho road while the driver was shifting a tyre, when, from some cause unknown, the engine became wrapped in flames.
