Hill, representing South Auckland, were cordially welcomed, and Mr Stevens said Hamilton was beginning a struggle just where Auckland iad begun years ago. The formation, of the new league brought rip the question of boundaries, and it was stated in discussion that none had been definitely drawn to divide the districts under the control of the various leagues. On the motion of Mr H. Oakley it was decided to ask each centre to fully define its boundaries. In accordance with notice, Mr R. J. Stirling formally moved, and Mr P. S. Ussher seconded: “That tlie annual meeting take place at Wellington, or any other centre that may be decided upon, during Easter week. The chairman and secretary of the New Zealand Council, together with one sitting delegate and one direct representative from each affiliated league, to attend and conduct the business of the annual meeting.” This formal motion was carried, being merely a reaffirmation of the resolution recently passed at the Easter conference at Wellington and 'affirmed at an ordinary meeting of the council, the idea being to combine the deliberations of delegates having personal knowledge of the discussions of the council and delegates directly in touch with the various leagues. THE NEW ZEALANDER S TOUR, VISIT i’O AUSTRALIA. The Council of Management afterwards met, the president taking the chair. The New South Wales,League cabled that Messrs S. G. Ball and W. Cann had been appointed managers of the Australasian team to tour England. The secretary of the Queensland League, Mr H. Sutherland. wrote agreeing to the New Zealand visit to Queensland and stating the following terms:—The first charge to be against the gate of 15 per cent, and gate staff’s wages, the balance to be divided equally between the visitors and the home league. In regard to country matches, the” terms to be 50 per cent', of the gross gate, the home league to make a ' guarantee sufficient to pay at least the t visitors’ expenses. So far as dates were concerned, the matter was mostly in I the hands of the New South Wales League, as the New Zealand j would come to Brisbane immediately * after the two matches in Sydney. The! best results would be served if the New; Zealand team played on route to Bris-, bane, and thuis played the first match in Brisbane on June 18th. The Ipswicit, Toowoomba, Rockhampton and Bundaberg leagues had applied for fixtures. These leagues had.been invited to make ( a minimum guarantee with the option of 50 per cent, of the gross gate, and when these were received the country matches to he undertaken by the New Zealand team would he decided upon.
