Association is evidently needed in this district, and it is to behoped the union will give this important ' matter their imidediate attention. In the matches played in his district on Saturday players and a certain section of the public were dissatisfied with rulings, and in some cases there was good ground far complaint. | Another matter that deserves attention is the state of the Domain ground at Otaki. There are several big holes, due, largely, to the location of the recent circus, ’ and to the fact that the Borough Council allows horses on the ground. * Kulru has protested against Otaki’s win on the grounds • that the latter played Larsen, a classified man. There seems some misunderstanding over this matter. Otaki state that they telephoned headquarters and were told they could play Larsen. Kuku says they did likewise re their classified men and were refused permission to play them.
