LEAGUE FOOTBALL
MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Rugby League was held in the Trades Hall, Vivian street, last evening, Mr F. C. Evans presiding. There were also present —Messrs J. and C. Murphy, H. Cranston, B. Childs, W. Martin, W. Langridge, A. Grogan, and H. Dyson. A letter was received from the Petone Borongh Council notifying the League that it had decided to adhere to its former decision regarding Petone grounds. Mr H. Dyson was appointed secretary for the Wellington Rugby League for th© coming season, and Mr A. Grogan was apponted treasurer. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring secretary, Mr J. Murphy. The following arc the fixtures for next Saturday:— Senior —Petone v City (Hutt Park), B. Childs; Suburbs v. Newtown (Efnmerson street), F. Cooper; Athletic v. Central (Newtown Park), O. Murphy. Junior—City v. Petone W. (3 p.m.), Mr Whitty; Central v. Athletic (Newtown Park, I.SO’ p.m.), Mr Snow; Petone N. v. Petone I. ((Recreation, No. 2, 1.30 p.m.), Mr Henderson. Third-class matches will commence on May 7th.
