MAGISTRATE’S COURT
POLICE OASES. Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., police cases were heard at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. No less than 13 first offenders for inebriacy were upon the police list, and eleven of them whose modesty forbade their appearance in court were ordered to forfeit their bail, 10s, in each case. Two others were fined ss, with the usual alternative. John Gould, who had been previously convicted four times, was fined 50s for drunkenness, and on a further charge of breaking his prohibition order was convicted and discharged. Arthur J. Scott, for committing an indecent act in a public place,' was fined 60s, in default 7 days in gaol.
