IMPROVEMENTS AT ISLAND BAY. The improvements to be effected at Island Bay for facilitating tUe landing of fish were the subject of a statement made at the meeting of the City Council last evening .by Mr R. A. Wrigh.t. Mr Wrfght said that he had received a letter from the Government intimating that, in addition to paying up to £1250 towards the cost of the improvements, it was also prepared to find cement and other materials tor the purpose of carrying out the work.
