DISPUTED STAKE
BARRY BECOMES IRRITATED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—dopyrigbt SYDNEY, September 4. A further dispute has arisen over the stake money for the sculling championship. Mr Campbell Jones, managing editor of tho '‘Sun,” as stake, holder, received a notice on Monday from Felton’s solicitor objecting to the payment in view of pending litigation. The objection was unofficially withdrawn on tho following day, but the stakeholder insisted on an official notiwhich was so belated that Barry became irritated, and now declares that he will not collect the stake here. He added that he was disgusted. Tho stakeholder could forward tho money to the “Daily Mail.” Mr Jones says ho will have to send tho money to England.
