SIR .THOMAS LT.PTON AND THE AMERICA CUP. THE HANDICAPPING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, July 11.. The races for tho America Chip '"•ill bo hold on July loth, 17th, and 20th. The American defender Resolute, and Sir Thomas Lipton's challenger Shamrock IV are being measured for tho purpose of determining what time allowance shall bo made for the smaller vessel. It is unofficially estimated that tho Resolute will obtain an allowance of six and a half minutes. Sir Thomas Lipton says: “I might say the challenger is the magic key with which I hope to achieve my lifelong .ambition the winning of the America Cun. Only tho race will tell whether it is the right key, but whether I win or lose, my admiration for tho American people will remain, as 1 will never forget their many kindnesses to me.”
