PRINCE’S VISIT TO INDIA. fKenler’a Telecraro.i (Received July 13, 1.45 a.m.) DELHI. July 11. Gandhi advocates the boycott of tho Prince of Wales’s visit, unless. Khalifat and tho Punjab grievances are re medied. He says he will not be a party to allowing the Government under cover of the Prince’s visit to. demonstrate to the world that India is happy and contented. Mrs Besant. on . the other hand, urges India to welcome the Prince as it welcomed his father and appeal through him to the King-Emperor against his officers, who she says abused their trust and ill-used and oppressed the people.
