D. CATLEYI92O CHAMPION KAEO'EI BIBLE CLUB WINS TEAMS’ CONTEST. Tho Wellington Military District Eiflo Championship meeting was brought to a conclusion at Tremtham on Saturday in weather favourable to good marksmanship. As a result,-some excellent shooting was witnessed by tho few visitors present. In the "shoot” for the district championship Sapper D. Catley and Lieut. Williamson, of 'the Post and Telegraph Engineers, and President H: S. Marshall, of the Karori. Eifle Club, tied, but in the “count back” the former carried off the honourl Yon 1920. Eifleman H. V. Croxton, of the Karori Eifle Club, finished eighth. Although defeated dn tho championship, Lieut. Williamson was the most successful "shot” during the day. He finished second in Match No. 6 and. followed on by capturing Match No. 7 and the Allcomers’ Grand Aggregate contest, and by acting as runner-up for the “Belt.” Private E. H. Nicholls, of the sth Wellington Regiment, who also shot with great precision, won Matches Nos. 1 and 2. The Champion Teams’ Match was won in good style by the Karori Eifle Club. At the conclusion of the matches the prizes were presented bv Lient.-Col. C. G. Powles, C.M.G., D. 5.0., who congratulated tho marksmen on- the result of their efforts, and the executive officers on the manner in which the meeting was controlled.
