THE SAVES COURT CASE
PLAINTIFF GISTS DAMAGES. Judgment was delivered in'the Magistrate’s Court yesterday in the case of Margaret Jano Culver v. Margaret Louis Smith, proprietress of Bayes Court. The magistrate said that the evidence went to show that the two women —the plaintiff was an employee at Sayoa Court' —had words, and both became very excited. Plaintiff was much knocked about and there was not sufficient provocation to justify the assault. Judgment would be for plaintiff for damages £B6, and expenses, the total amounting to £96 17s 3d. Messrs C. H. and O. A. L. Trendwell appeared for the plaintiff and Mr D. M. Findlay for the defonadnt.
