CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
SUGGESTED LINE OF SETTLEMENT. Presi Association. ■ CHRISTCHURCH, September a. The Christchurch Ministers' Association passed the following resolutions: “That tho association, having board details of tho sufferings of oonscienoious objectors, urges on the Government that all conscientious objector* should bo offered absolutely non-mili-tary service of a type, useful to the State and at military rates of pay; the association believes that such a settlement would relievo tho very grave difficulties that have emerged in admmistering the Military Service Act.” ■ “That the association, having beard that certain conscientious objectors have'recently been, deported from Now Zealand, protests to tho Government against such action by the authorities.”
