REMEVTNG THE SILT mOfIBLEM. Frau Association. , GISBORNE, September 3. Thd Harbour Board after considerable discussion decided to-day to pay the engineer and secretary, Mr McDonald, ebe months’ salary in lieu of notice. It made arrangements -with Air Leslie Reynolds to supply a report on the best means of relieving the silt problem in the inner harbour at 100 guineas and a farther report of the outer harbour scheme at 400 guineas.
