A BANK FAILS
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST PRESIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Times —Sydney "Sun” Special Cables.) NEW YORK, February 10. The Mercantile Bank at Memphis has closed its doors. The deficit is £150,000. It is alleged that the bank president misappropriated the money and lost it in speculations. He has been arrested on a charge of embezzlement.
