HOBMIKA, December 22. Mr Carl Pfaff, secretary of the West Coasters’ Association art; Wellington, has advised tho secretary of the local Westland Jubilee Committee (Mr D. J. Evans) that from the number of inquiries he has received ho predicts a record attendance from tho Empire city. In view of the influx of vjsitors to the West Coast, the executive of tho celebrations is suggesting to the Government that extra services on tho East and West Coast railway sections bo run on Friday, January 2nd, and Alonday, January sth, in order to accommodate the people, tho services to run through to Hokitika both evenings. There is every reason to assume that the gathering of pioneers will bo a pronounced success.
