LEVEL CROSSING ACCIDENT
OLD MAN SUFFERS FATAL
INJURY.

An old man, Felix Stratford, was the victim of an open crossing accident at 7.30 this evening, when a goods train was passing the post office. He was crossing tho lino and apparently did not hear the train approaching. Stratford was struck by the engine and thrown dear of the line. He was taken to the hospital suffering from concussion, and died an hour after admission. He was seventy-eight years of ago and one of the pioneers of the district.
