STRIKE DECLARED OFF. UNION COMPANY'S BOATS TO RESUME RUNNING. SATISFACTION EXPRESSED. (Received December 20, 1 a.m.) SYDNEY, December IS. The strike is over, following the receipt of a cable from New Zealand notlying that it had been officially declared off there. A conference of unions adopted a resolution asking all delegates to inform their various unions and branches that the strike has been declared off by the New Zealand Federation, and that the embargo on New Zealand trade on the part of Australian unionists has been consequently withdrawn. The termination of a protracted; struggle has given satisfaction, which is shared by the bulk of the unionists. The Union Company advertise that their boats will resume their normal running. The Maunganui sails at 3 o’clock to-

morrow, and tho Maheno on Wednesday. The conference issued a further appeal for relief of the distress caused by the strike. Trouble over the unionists resuming work ou the wharves Is not anticipated.
