LAWN TENNIS.

NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. The management committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association met last evening, when there were present; Messrs y. Hurley, T. Gray, H. N. Gore and E. Y. itedward. EavCa os the Now Zealand Association’s delegate to the Lawn Tennis Association (ngland) form > part oi the business to be brought forward at the meeting of the council on August 30th. Ayrer lawn tennis ball was adopted for the Australasian championship meeting, to be held at Hastings in conjunction with the New Zealand championships from December.’ 26th to January Ist. . The alterations to the rules, passed at the annual meeting of the Lawn Tennis Association (England), were ordered to be printed and circulated amongst the associations.

It was decided that the committee take steps, in conjunction with any other committees Interested, to assist the movement for the passing of the proposed Daylight Saving Bill. The Australian Association notified that cable advice had been received from the English Association stating that' an English representative team would visit Australasia daring next summer. The action of the secretary (Mr A. J. Fetheriok) in forwarding the association’s congratulations to the Hon. F. JL B. Fisher on his elevation to Ministerial rank was approved.
