The continued wet weather has had a depressing effect upon the market. Merchants still report that there is no business passing in grain. Borne wheat has been offered, but it failed to find buyers. Oats are also dull of sale. Chaff in store is firmer, but there is no business doing with growers as delivery can not be given while the wet weather lasts. The potato, market is in a somewhat dull state. The many shipments to Auckland (amounting to 12,000 sacks from the south during the past week) have eased off the demand front that quarter, and the local market, except for lots that can bo certified as being fit for shipment to Australia, is lifeices. For such lots up to £5 is being given and for ordinary samples £4 IDs to £4 15s is offered. WELLINGTON CUSTOMS. The Customs revenue received at WeU linglon yesterdav totalled £3140.
