WELLINGTON v. SOUTH ISLAND TO DICING TEAM. Tho representative Rugby match between Wellington and tbe South Island touring team will bo played this afternoon at Athletic Park. Additional interest centres in tho event owing to the fact that the Wellington fifteen is tho same combination that will shortly meet Auckland in the contest for tho Ranfurly Shield. The Wellington team is as follows; Fullback, P. Lambert; three-quarters, Grace, Murray, Young: five-eighths, Ramsden, McKensie; half, F. Roberts; forwards. Elliott, Hills, D. Sullivan. Gillespie, Wilson, MoFarlane, R. Paton, J. Skinner. Emergency back, Kinvig. Emergency forward 11. Paton. The match will start at 3 o'clock. Mr L, Simpson will act as referee. THE. LEAGUE GAME. DATES FOR NEW SOUTH WALES' TOUR. rEEES ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND. July 30. The executive of the New Zealand League met this afternoon and arranged the following dates for the Now 'South Avalos tour:— August 24th. Wellington; August 29th, Taranaki: August 31st, Auckland ;• September 4th, Rotorua; September 7t.li v. New Zealand. at Auckland; September 11th, - Hawke’s Bay; September 14th, Canterbury; September 19th. Wanganni. The final match will be played at Auckland on a date to be arranged.
