LONDON, December 8.
In the House of Lords, Viscount Morley, Lord President of the Council, replying to Lord Ourzon respecting Persia, said the Imperial Government’s policy was to maintain the AngloRussian Convention and mediate benevolently.. If Britain and Russia kept together ho believed they would soon see a solution of tho difficulty. Russia had no intention of supporting the exShah, and Sir Edward Grey (British Foreign Secretary) had warned Russia that it would bo impossible for Britain to in any circumstances recognise him. APPEAL FOR AMERICAN INTERVENTION. (Received December 10, 5.5 p.m.) < WASHINGTON, December 9. Persia has appealed to the United States Government to intervene diplomatically between Persia and Russia.
