Tho Viceroy (Lord Hardinge), the provincial Governors, the members of the Executive Council and leading natives welcomed King Georgo and Queen Alary at tho Delhi railway station. Troops lined the procession route to Delhi Fort (tho palace of tho Emperor Shah Johan), where tho chiefs received their Majesties, who then made their State entry through tho Delhi gate, King Georgo riding alono on a bay charger and Queen Alary in a state carriage. Tho procession circled the Jumma Masjid (thogreat mosque), and tlienco went to Chandni Chowk. Tho guns were booming • salutes throughout tho day. Mr J. L. Jenkins, member of the Executive Council, on behalf of two hundred representatives of British India, presented an address before their Majesties entered tho camp. Tho King replied amid tumultuous enthusiasm, paying tributes to tho valued experience of tho members of the Legislative Council, British India’s chosen representatives. A TUMULTUOUS RECEPTION.
