CLOSE OF THE SERIES. Er Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, July 27. At tho wool sales stipes declined from 5 to 7-j per cent. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLED KEPOST. The Commerce Division of the Deportment, of Agriculture and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for Now Zealand, dated London, July 27th, regarding the closing of tho fourth series of tho Colonial wool sales; ‘"Tito wool sales have closed. A good do maud. Homo and Continental, for all grades of greasy wool. Prospects are favourable, although considerable quantity unofferod. Twenty-nine thousand bales of Now Zealand wool are held over. Estimated value; Per lb. d. d. Superior merino 12 to 14 Medium merino ~. 10 to Hi Inferior merino 8 to 91 Pine croesbreds Hi to 14 Medium crossbreds 9 to 11 Coarse crossbreds 8 to 10 The Now Zealand Loon and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following, cablegram from their London house, dated July 26th:—“The wool sales closed with good competition Tho total quantity sold was 134.000 bales; 46.000 bales were taken for , tho Continent, and 2000 bales for Ameirica, forty-one thousand wero held over."
