Ur H. A. Norms (Wellington) moved— That the conference urge on tho Government tho need of passing tho long-delayed Local Government Bill. The mover said they had been promised such a measure for the last hi teen years. Ho noticed that it was one of the Bills to bo brought down early this session. No doubt it would be a measure on which they would "beat time I 1 ,* the Prime Minister returned. Xhey should got their Parliamentary representatives to bo very careful on the question of franchise. Tho remit was carried.
