CORRECTION
In yesterday’s issue, by a printer’s (error, in the City Council report on the ’tramways deputation, the following remarks were attributed to _ Councillor Ph-teher, instead of to Councillor Puller: “fl think in this matter wo should look 'things fairly and squarely in the face, land not rush it so far as sending the resolution to the Government. IVc should express our sympathy with the Mayor and allow the people of Wellington to do the censuring. X move, while agreeing with the object of the motion, an amendment: That tho Wellington City Council deprecates tho action of the Minister of Public Works in grossly insulting tho Acting-Mayor while engaged in public duty, and expresses its symrpathy with the Acting-Mayor. “We .can't talk to the Government/' he added. -“Both the Christchurch and Dunedin ,counoils got a circular and didn’t pub!ish it" ,
