ROYAL COMMISSION’S REPORT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received July’ 12, 10.10 p.m.) LONDON, July 12. The Royal Commission on tuberculosis has presented its report. It concludes that bovine tuberculosis is readily communicable to infants and children, with fatal results, particularly to the abdominal organs and cervical glands. Cows’ milk, tho report states, is a large source of infection. One half of tho cases of children dying from abdominal tuberculosis were duo to the bovine bacillus alone. Tuberculosis in adults, especially lung cases, was generally traceable to the human germ, but there wore cases of bovine tuberculosis iu adults sufficiently extensive to incapacitate the ■ patients for life. The Commissioners recommended stringent regulations for tho Government supervision of meat and milk, irrespective as to whether tho disease was iu tho udders or tho internal organs. Tho cost of the commission’s inquiries during ten years was £75,557. Seven more .{volumes of the report are promised, chiefly details of experiments at Lord Blythe’s farm.
