A conference held hero representing many steel manufacturers of Europe and America lias initiated an organisation to bo called tho International Steel Institute, and appointed a committee to ascertain to what extent agreement is possible among the manufacturers of different countries on wages and transport. Tho committee is not to touch the question of fixing prices on markets.
