EVICTIONS IN HUNGARY
■WORKMEN APPEAL FOR SANCTUARY IN nitXTAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright VIENNA, December 1. Threo hundred Hungarian workmen who wore evicted in consequence of the deplorable housing conditions in Buda Pesth, the Hungarian capital,, spent the night in a meadow. They telegraphed to Mr Asquith, Bri* tish Prime Minister, imploring him ,to send a warship to Piume, and promising to become faithful, law-abiding' English citizens.
Statistics show that SO per cent, of the inhabitants of Buda Pesth live in dwellings consisting of a single room.
