BRUTAL MURDER CASE
VICTIM’S BODY FRIGHTFULLY MUTILATED. By Telegraph—Press dissociation —Copyright PARIS, December 1. A gruesome crime has been committed near Angers, in the West of. Fiance, where a body, supposed to be of a foreign banker, has been found horribly mutilated. ' It is supposed the victim was enticed to the house of a horse-dealer by the latter’s mistress. The assassins shaved and slashed the face, destroying the identity _ of the body, which was "then placed in a box and wheeled in a barrow through a populous part of Angers. The man abandoned it on the sudden appearance of some soldiers and escaped. A woman named Marguerite Maillud has been arrested.
