WEDDINGS

LATTER—STUART. Yesterday afternoon a wedding which created a good deal of interest was solemnised at St. Mark's Church by the Rev. A. M. Johnston, when Miss Mary •Stuart; fourth daughter of Mr D. T. Stuart, was married to Mr Allan Latter, of Barry's Bay. Canterbury, The bride wore a handsome gown of ivory satin charmeuse, with a shaped Empire skirt; tlie bodice was draped with Honiton lace. She wore a tulle veil and carried a shower bouquet. She was attended by four bridesmaids, the two elder (Misses Olive Stuart and Miss Latter) • wearing white net 'gowns mounted on sating and. worn under corselets of Irish crochet. Wreaths of autumnal-tinted leaves and roses were worn instead of hats. The two tinies (Misses Lettice Tapper and Gwenda Hamertdn) wore frocks of white ninon ovor silk, and had wreaths and bouquets of pink roses, The grown-up bridesmaids received monogram rings, and the little ones gold necklets with matrix pendants. The bride gave her husband a gold watch and chain and received from him a handsome bangle. The best man was Mr Le Clerc Latter, brother of the bridegroom, and-Mr R. Black was groomsman. A reception was subsequently' held at the residence of Mr Charlos Stuart, of. Brougham street, the decorations being carried out in white flowers and simlax.

Mrs Stuart, mother-of the bride, wore a silver-grev silk gown with Oriental embroideries and a tucked net yoke. Mrs Latter, the bridegroom's mother, wore a blue silk frock and a brown toque. Mrs C. At ..the Anglican Church, Seatouni yesterday, the Rev. Blackburne united in matrimony Miss Ethel Maude AVright and Mr Richard -Walter Brown, eon of the late Samuel Brown, of this city.
