WADESTOWN TEAMS
LOAN PROPOSAL CARRIED. . A poll was taken yesterday of ratepayers in connection with the proposed special loan of £33,000, to be raised to form the Wadestown tramway. Of a roil number'of 354, the total of ratepayers who recorded their votes were 204. As a result of tho poll, tho proposal was carried with a large majority. The voting was as follows: For the proposal 187 Against the proposal ... 17 Majority for the proposal 170 There were no informal votes. Mr J. Ames, the returning officer, made known the result of the poll, ten minutes after it closed at 7 p.m.
