PEESO ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, July 14. A deputation of fruitgrowers interviewed the lion. G. Fowms, and protested against the class of waggons used to carry fruit on thb Auckland railways. These vans were described as travelling furnaces, from which fruit was delivered in absolutely useless condition. Mr Rcnavne had promised to replace these by as many "XA" vans as possible, and the deputation agreed that these would be a decided improvement. The Minister promised to lay. the position before the Minister for Railways as soon as possible.
