HAWERA SPRING HORSE FAIR
Both breeders and buyers of high-class horses now recognise South Taranaki as being the Dominion's leading breeding centre. This fact is illustrated by the number of horses that are bred in that district and by the quality and number that arc offered at the local horse fairs, and these fairs are regarded as being quite equal to any bold south of the line. At this year's sales the horses to be submitted are a very fine selection, and are superior both in quality and numbers to those offered at previous sales. They are a good conditioned lev, specially selected, the majority coming direct from the breeders' hands, and comprise some excellent types of all descriptions. In our advertising oolunms will bo found particulars of the animal spring horse fair to bo held at Tattersail’s, Hawera. by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., ou September 23rd to 26th. Over 1000 horses are catalogued. Of this number one half arc heavy and medium draughts and lorry horses —the balance consist of useful carriage and light harness horses, including some, good pairs, well-bred hackneys, remounts, cobs, polo and bhetland ponies. This sale should offer an excellent opportunity to those requiring good horses of all descriptions.
