Y.M.C.A. CLUB.

Yesterday evening the members of the Y.M.C.A. cricket teams were entertained at tea at the rooms of Mr J. M. A. Ilott, one of the association’s vice-pre-sidents, in commemoration of the success of the association’s representatives in tho cricket field during the past season. The boys, in recognition of the services of Mr George Adam as coach, made that gentleman a presentation of a fountain pen and a htmdsome writing case. The boys’ department of the association has been extremely successful during tho season. They won both championships in connection with the Boys’ League, ‘and the B team in the second division were runcre-up. Their performances, we understand, constitute a record for any Y.M.C.A. cricket club in Australasia. Members of the club also won several trophies for their batting, bowling, and fielding. In the senior division Grimmett won tho butting trophy rvith an average of 16.3, Eobsrts second with 15.7. In the junior A "division F. Joplin was first with 20.3, and in the B division L. Wilson was first with 18.3 In tho bowling for seniors E. Loader’averaged 3.6. In bowling fori juniors A division C, Robinson recorded tho average of 2.9. In the junior B division R. Adair’s record w*as 3.7. As to fielding, in tho junior A division H. Baidock and B. C. Purdie were placed, and E. Phillips similarly dmtinguishod himself in the senior division.
