THE MAITAL
(To the Editor "N.Z. Times.”) Sir,—Some time ago, in order to improve the travelling facilities of, Vancouver trade, the Marama was taken efi the intercolonial run m favour of the Maitai. But fox New Zealand this was a sad change. Although the Maitai has been in her new run for a £ o w . w ®<* s only, she is to be replaced immediately. And about time, too. But an end comes to all good things. Though the Waikare, her successor, is of slightly less tonnage, yet the change will be much appreciated by passengers, and in this He Company are to be complimented. Since the Maitai will be taking the M aikare s coastal itinerary, Napier. Gisborne and poor old Auckland will have to suffer. But, naturally, the intercolonial ruai has to be considered first.-I a ™y|\ c -fj A:RE , April 6th.
